Travel Competition Work

December 2023

In 2023, I was contacted by In The Training Room to help with Athlete Recovery for the 1st Phorm Legends Championship, a 3-day CrossFit Masters Competition held at ASU in Tempe, AZ. Working alongside other Massage Therapists and Physical Therapist was a blast that was only amplified by the rockstar athletes.

May 2024

Working alongside In The Training Room once again, I traveled to St. Louis, MO with a fellow massage therapist to once again help out with Athlete Recovery at the 1st Phorm Monster Games, another 3-day CrossFit Competition. Once again, humbled by the amazing athletes, and my fellow constituents, I learned so much more to aid in my abilities to help athletes of all kinds.

September 2024

On the road once again, this time to San Antonio, TX to help the athletes recover between events at the CrossFit Adaptive Games, a rigorous 4-day competition saved for the elite in the sport of CrossFit. Inspired, grateful, humbled, and excited by all the athletes who chose to not be limited by disabilities, but instead rose above what limits them physically, but not mentally. A true test of the capabilities of the human body even when it doesn’t look or act “as it should.”

Veteran’s Day 2024

Serving my local CF community, I was able to provide Athlete Recovery for members of CrossFit North Scottsdale who completed Chad 1000x on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2024. Our Veterans served this country, and oftentimes come back with physical problems, and unseen health conditions like PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, depression, etc. This workout was designed by the Veteran this Hero WOD is named after as a way for him to train for a strenuous hike. Sadly, he took his own life, and his wife set up the Step Up Foundation to raise awareness for others like Chad. As a community, CF members partake in various Hero WODs to commemorate those who have fallen in the name of this country. If you have a moment, visit the Step Up Foundation’s website to learn more about how you can help.
